Carol T. Griffin Bridge Master Carol
Griffin's interest in bridge began at her mother's
side with a social group over 40 years ago. But it
wasn't until returning to the U.S. after 20 years
overseas that it turned from an interest to a passion,
progressing from an accredited ACBL teacher in 1985 to
ABTA “Master” Teacher and later achieving the title of
Silver Life Master as a player. The game still excites
her.
Carol's interest in people and her natural theatricality, developed as a flamenco dancer in Spain and Russia, gives a flair to her bridge classes. Her degrees from the University of California and Graduate School of International Management have led to the logical and clear teaching style for which she is known. In 1991 she became an ACBL Certified Director but continues to play regularly at club and tournament levels. Carol is a "quadruple star" ACBL teacher and was given the honored title of "ABTA Master Teacher". She is the proud mother of two grown daughters born in Hong Kong and Japan respectively, and is currently living in Walnut Creek, California. Despite her travels, she is in fact a 4th generation Californian. |
